It is pertinent to mention that Punjab, especially the southern Punjab, is considered as the hub of militant activists.
Earlier a day ago Interior Minister had said that the number of organizations involved in terrorist activities in Punjab province had reached 95.
He also said that law-enforcement agencies were proactively monitoring ‘madressahs’ to check the spread of terrorist ideology in the country.
It was revealed unofficially that most of these groups were concentrated in the southern districts of the province.
Earlier in May 2014, it was revealed by a local newspaper that $100 million charities from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates financed a network in Pakistan that recruited children as young as eight to wage holy war.
The thick populated area has became the hub of militants.
