PTI to continue demonstrations for transparent elections: Imran | PakistanTribeISLAMABAD –  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan said demonstrations would continue for transparent elections in the country, PakistanTribe.com reported on Tuesday.

Khan told reporters during a news conference that seven months had passed and the process of thumbprint verification for votes in four constituencies had not been completed. Khan said the government was creating hurdles for the election tribunal. He said that four months time given to the election tribunals has been completed. He said if the thumb verification is carried out on four constituencies the whole matter of rigging in election would come before the masses.

In response to US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel warning Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that the US could stop aid if Pakistan failed to ensure security for the Nato supply route, Khan said there was a lesson which should be learned from this statement.

He said that the DCO had helped PML-N to win election from Mianwali during the general polls, adding that the PTI accepted the results of the polls but did not accept the rigging. He said such elections should not be held in country again. While terming the drone strikes as international crimes he said that no one respect the slaves in world. He said that the US is killing Pakistanis in drone strikes and also issuing orders to Pakistanis.
