ISLAMABAD/WASHINGTON DC – US Secretary of State John Kerry is arriving in Islamabad on his two-day official visit, PakistanTribe.com received reports.
The secretory of State – John Kerry – is arriving in Islamabad for two-day official meeting as he is on the visit of subcontinent countries.
His special focus was to visit the India to tie bilateral relations in some more dimensions of trade. Two-way trade between the US and India currently stands at $100 billion and the countries aim to boost the figure to $500 billion but have set no deadline.
Talking about the visit of Kerry and Trade with India, a senior State Department official said “I think the United States is going to be a key player and a key partner in that transformation and rejuvenation of the Indian economy, and that this is a win-win for both countries and for both peoples.”
After his visit to India he will arrive to Pakistan and hold meetings with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Sartaj Aziz – Advisor to PM on National Security and Foreign Affairs – during his visit.
Pakistan is the front line strategic partner of US in war against terrorism and it the the victim of terrorism also. Pakistan played important role to encounter terrorism the region.
US Secretary of State, in his strategic talks with Pakistani leadership, will exchange views on Pak-Afghan ties and tense situation with India.
It is pertinent to mention that last week in the official briefing of Pentagon, the press secretary of pentagon Kibrey showed his serous concern on the security situation on Pakistan and said that Pakistan is a ‘safe heaven’ for terrorists.
Also it was said that Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) has not changed its policy towards Taliban.
