Immediately after the news of the Imran-Reham wedding poured out, the social media websites started overflowing with comments and wishes.
Since Imran Khan and Reham Khan are public figures, people from all walks of life responded to the news of their matrimony, both positively and negatively. The three major themes which could be seen on the social media websites were apparent heartbreaks, genuine wishes and criticism on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief and his journalist wife. This is how the female journalists wished their colleague, Mrs Imran Khan and her husband on twitter:
Asma Chaudhry:

Quatrina Hosain:
Congrats to Mr and Mrs Khan. The wedding was low key. Tacky TV coverage unfair to couple cos its turning people off. Too soon after Peshawar
— Quatrina (@QuatrinaHosain) January 8, 2015
Quatrina Hosain went ahead and gave Mr and Mrs Imran Khan a new title:
The new royal couple! Mubarak!
— Quatrina (@QuatrinaHosain) January 8, 2015
Apart from these pleasant tweets, there were some dramatic ones too. These tweets largely came from few female supporters of Imran Khan who were apparently not happy with the new beginnings in Mr Khan’s life. These fans went ahead and posted some inappropriate and abusive tweets regarding the PTI chief and his new wife.
Hopefully, with the passage of time, these negative reactions will start to decrease in number as people will move on with their lives and the hype of this wedding will take a back seat.
