KARACHI – Going himself to help out coach and captain in World Cup 2015, Chief Selector Moin Khan says that he will team leaders to finalize the 11 players before every match.
In an interview, chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board’s Selection Committee said that it was not the right time decided whether he would continue as the chief selector or not.
“Right now, I have all my attention towards good performance of the team in the mega event,” he said.
Moin had faced criticism in past over his decisions in selection team as well poor selection of players.
He made it clear of any ‘recommended player’ in the 15-member squad of Pakistan.
“All players are selected on merit and fast bowler Suhail Khan has nothing to do with Rashid Latif’s recommendation,” he further said.
Rashid had criticized the selection committee over ignoring talented players like Suhail, who had been consistently delivering results in the domestic matches.
Suhail Khan’s selection was surprising as his name was not in the list of final 30 players.
“I want to make it clear that Suhail has come forward by pushing the committee back by his amazing performance in the domestic season,” Moin said.
