RAWALPINDI – Retaliation from Terrorists emerged as blast during the ‘Meelad’ Ceremony in Imam Bargah near ‘Chittian Hattian’ area of Rawalpindi killed eight people and 18 injured, PakistanTribe reported.
Earlier on Friday night a ‘Meelad’ ceremony was under way when a bike rider blasted himself when he was stopped by security guards from entering into Imam Bargah.
More than 18 person injured and eight died including guards on the spot due to blast In Imam Bargah ‘Ibn e Rizwi’near Chittian Bhattian area Rawalpindi.
According to the police the blast time was at 9:20 pm Friday night but it has not confirmed yet whether it was a remote control or suicide blast.
Pakistan Army had taken the control of the area and injured were shifted to DHQ Rawalpindi, the nearest hospital. Sources further revealed that bomb disposal squad found another bomb at the blast place which was not exploded.
Talking aboout the demise General Secretary of Wahdatul Muslimeen told that we requested many times to Punjab government about the security arrangements but we were not provided security.
Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif condemned the incident and took serous notice of terrorist activity. Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar ordered the concerned authorities to report of the incident. He said that “terrorist can’t down our morals.’
President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain condemned the incident very strongly and said that terrorists will be treated strictly as per law.
