Flight Operation Suspended at Karachi Airport Due to Dense Fog | PakistanTribe.com

KARACHI  – Flight operation suspended at Jinnah International Airport after dense fog covered Malir and adjacent areas of Karachi airport.

The thick fog has dropped visibility to 50 metres at Karachi airport and its surrounding areas, however, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has stated that flight operation was not suspended in Karachi yet.

Dense foggy conditions would continue in plains of Punjab, KP and upper Sindh during next few days.

According to Met Office, dense foggy conditions may affect flight operation at Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Multan,Faisalabad airports and flow of traffic on Motorway M2 (Lahore to Pindi Bhattian sector).

Very cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 48 hours, Pakistan Meteorological Department reported on Friday

Coldest places recorded during last 24 hours include Skardu -9.0°C, Parachinar -8.0°C, Gupis, Astore -7.0°C, Hunza -6.0°C, Gilgit -5.0°C, Dir, Kalam -4.0°C, Malamjabba, Risalpur -3.0°C, Kalat, Rawalakot, Quetta -2.0°C and Lower Dir -1.0°C.
