Blasphemy Accused Shot Down In Taxila.PakistanTribe.Com

TAXILA: A blasphemy accused was found dead on Wednesday in Taxila days after he was released form Prison, PakistanTribe received media reports.

Abid Mehmood aka Aabid Kazzab, 52, who lived in Kamra village. He was charged in October 2011 over blasphemy and a case was registered against him under Section 295-C of CrPC on a complaint lodged by his son-in-law Sadaqat Ali.

It was told that on Tuesday, some masked men took him from his house in Ahatta area and his bullet-riddled body was found on Wednesday in deserted area near Usman Khattar Railway Station. He received bullets in head and chest.

Police shifted the body to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Taxila for autopsy and told that it seems to be a target killing case.

Investigation officer Ayub said that on a complaint of Ghulam Ibrar, a bother of the deceased, the scope of investigation had been widened as this is not the only focus of Police to investigate from single angle of targeting killing as it may b a personal dispute.
