KARACHI – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Monday said that he has no magic stick, the restoration of peace would take time and added that the Karachi operation would continue until the last criminal was arrested.
The Sindh chief minister further said that the Karachi remained plagued by law and order situation for the last 25 years, while it has sufficiently improved recently and admitted by even the detractors.
Qaim Ali Shah said that he has given full authority to the police and Rangers for bringing an improvement in the situation.
Qaim Ali Shah said the government wanted to hold local bodies (LB) elections in March; however, the final decision will be taken by Election Commission.
In response to a question over Balochistan local government elections, Qaim Ali Shah said he will not comment on this matter.
Referring to the NAB references against former president, Sindh CM said all cases aginst Asif Ali Zardari were fake, adding that the Supreme Court had earlier said the cases against Benazir Bhutto and Zardari were based on malafide intentions.
