LAHORE – Last night of Ikram Ul Haq – the prisoner of death sentence in Kot Lakhpat Jail – turned into blessing for him as he was partially forgiven by the petitioners , 30 seconds before his hanging, PakistanTribe received news.
Petitioners and family member of Nayyer Abbas,victim, appeared to magistrate last night and submitted him note for delaying in hanging of the criminal Ikram-Ul-Haq who was given the death penalty punishment by Faisalabad court over charge of murder of Nayyer Abbas in 2001.
The legal adviser of Ikram-Ul-Haq Advocate Ghulam Mustafa said that the magistrate received a note that the hanging date of Ikram-Ul-Haq be delayed.
Ikram-Ul-Haq aka Akram Lahori was supposed to be hanged on 6:35 am today in Kot Lakhpat Jail.
It is pertinent to mention that he was wanted in different other charges. He murdered Imtiaz Haider , the brother of former Minister Moin-Ud-Din Haider, Attack on Irani cadets in Islamabad, Attack in Lahore Momin Pura and killing of 21 people and the in the murder of Iranian ambassador Sadiq Ganji.
The family members of victim Nayyer Abbas appeared before court and asked for the delay in his hanging. It is hoped that he will be forgiven.
