LAHORE – Expressing his steadfastness over performing well in World Cup 2015, senior batsman Younis Khan has said that if Pakistan Team played like a ‘One Unit’, then no one can stop it.
“Pakistan will defeat India too this time and will wini the world cup,” he said in an interview.
“Pakistan will set a new history by beating India in Australia,” skillful batsman said.
“I wanted to play the role Javed Miandad, Imran Khan and Inzimamul Haq played in 1992.”
Commenting on captain Misbah’s style, Khan was of the view that ‘he is not what he apparently look, but he wanted to something for the team.’
He commended the decision of Shahid Afridi’s retirment; however, he made it clear that he could play cricket up to 50 years if he remained fit.
Taking analogy of Sachin Tendulkar, Younis said that legendary Indian batsman used to motivate and enjoy his cricket.
“If I continue motivating myself and if not become a burden on the team, the I will be in action after the world cup too.”
The comment of the batsman is crucial as the World Cup is about a month away from us. Showing a powerful performance in recent matches, Khan is being considered as one of players to whom Pakistan team will be relying upon in the mega event.
