ISLAMABAD – Cahudhary Nisar Ali – Interior Minister of Pakistan – accepted that they are facing difficulty to figure out the Madrassas being financed by foreign Muslim powers, PakistanTribe received media reports.
Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said that government has information about financial aid given to Madrassas of Pakistan by some foreign countries but he accepted that it is difficult to figure out those madrassas.
He was addressing in Senat when he was asked a question by Sughra Imam, PPP leader, “Some madressahs are receiving financial support from Muslim countries. However, it is often difficult to trace the transaction of such money,” said Nisar.
“The ministry is cognisant of some madressahs and particular classification may be associated with these in terms of security and foreign funding,” Chaudhry Nisar admitted.
It is worth mentioning that Chaudhary Nisar Ali also talked last night to Qari Hanif -Chairman Wifaq Ul Madaras Multan – and ensured him that the 21st constitutional amendment is not shaped to hit the interests of Madrassas and Islamic educations. He also ensured him that government want Madrassas to stand against war against terrorism as it is a national cause.
It is important to highlight that Qari Hanif had rejected the governmental proposal of reforms in Madrassas and replied that they are teaching in accordance with Islam and Sunnah and not producing terrorism.
Further Maulana Fazalur Rahman – JUI (F) Chief – had also criticized the government that government is indirectly registering FIR against Madrassas.
