ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Awami Muslim League chief Shaikh Rasheed said that 21st amendment in Parliament shows the trust of nation on Pakistan Military, PakistanTribe received media reports.
Shaikh Rasheed said that the 21st amendment is in national trust of Pakistan and this is also very good sign that almost all the parties are now on the platform to eradicate terrorism.
He said that this is not mature decision to criticize on Madrassa system all the time as they are not our enemies in fact.
He hoped that Madrassas will one day become our strength in combating terrorism.
He appreciated the role of Pakistan Military saying that trust on Pakistan military is increasing every passing day. He further added that firstly we handed over our internal and external security to Pakistan Military and now we are handing over our judicial system to Pakistan Army.
He also said that the military courts are the most effective tools in Martial Law regime but we trust our military and handing over the core decisions of the nation to military.
It is pertinent to mention that the National Assembly on Tuesday (today) adopted the 21st Constitutional Amendment Bill and the The Pakistan Army (Amendment) Bill, 2015 unopposed after 247 Members of National Assembly voted in favor of the laws aimed to set up constitutionally protected military courts to try civilian terrorism suspects.
However members of the National Assembly belonging to the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F (JUI-F) abstained from voting.
