THARPARKAR – The series of deaths continued in Thar due to shortage of food, and three more kids were died due to the negligence of Sindh government.
The deaths in drought-stricken Tharparkar claimed three more lives due to malnutrition, taking the toll to 299 in last two months.
Earlier, according to news resources, the series of deadly diseases and infants killing still continued in Thar and 4 more kids little kids died at civil hospital in Mithi yesterday.
As many as six children have died due to malnutrition, pneumonia and other diseases in drought-hit Tharparkar on Friday.
The children have died in Mithi, Chhachhro, Islamkot, Nangarparkar and other areas of the district, where death has become a routine, unfortunately.
The number of dying children is increasing especially after the onset of winter, as they are affected rapidly by chest infections, like pneumonia.
For ensuring health facilities to drought hit population of Tharparkar 30 doctors and 16 ambulances had been dispatched to different hospitals of the district on special directives of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
Director General Health department, Syed Hassan Murad Shah, reviewed health condition after reaching Civil Hospital Mithi and adjusted 30 doctors at different hospital of Thar for treatments.
The DG Health while speaking to media said that practical measures were being taken for providing potable water, quality of education, besides of providing health facilities to the drought hit people.
