ISLAMABAD – Chief of Jamiat Ulama Islam (JUI) Mulana Fazal ur Rehman hold his decision on 21st Constitutional Amendment Bill and Army Act.
Mulana Fazal ur Rehman called Parliamentary meeting of JUI at 2:00 pm to discuss the constitutional amendment bill and arm act bill.
A key session of the National Assembly will be held here in Islamabad on Monday (today) in which the 21st Constitutional Amendment Bill and Army Act are likely to be passed.
The 21st Constitutional Amendment Bill and Army Act were tabled by Federal Information Minister Pervez Rasheed in the NA session on Saturday.
It should be noted that the political leadership of the country had decided to amend the constitution to provide legal cover to the formation of military courts in the country.
A simple majority is required for passing the Army Act whereas the constitutional amendment bill has to be passed by two-third of the total members of the lower house.
The Army Act and the 21st Constitutional Bill will then be sent to the Senate for acceptance.
The session of the Parliament’s lower house will be held at 04:00 pm.
