ISLAMABAD – Muslim community all over the country is celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with religious and traditional zeal and fervor today (Sunday).
The streets and corners of the city have been illuminated in connection with the celebrations of the birth of Prophet (PBUH). Locals have decorated houses, shops, streets and markets to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH).
A 21 gun salute was given by the Pakistan Army in many cities of the country on Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W).The capital city of Pakistan, Islamabad has followed a start of the day with 31 gun salute whereas 21 gun salute have been observed in all provincial capitals.
Mosques and residential buildings at nearly every street of the country has been decorated with colorful lightings. A 5000 pound and 6300 pound cake has been prepared in Multan and Chiniot respectively.
n Karachi, a spectacular firework marked a start of Eid in Numaish Chowrangi which was seen by all the residents. About 296 processions will be taken out to the streets on the occasion of this event.
Strict security measures have been taken to curb any unforeseen event throughout the day. The procession routes have been sealed with containers whereas police officers will also perform security duties across the country.
