LAHORE – Newly appointed manager of Pakistan Cricket Team has issued warning to players over discipline.
“There will be no compromise on discipline in the team,” Naveed Akram Cheema, former chief secretary of Punjab province, said.
He has been appointed by the Pakistan Cricket Board to oversee the disciplinary things of the team.
Cheema has remained the team manager in past too.
After his apppointment, Cheema met with Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmed to discuss the preparations of the world cup.
After the meeting, he briefed media about the future plans.
“The players have always responded to the disciplinary calls, and we are hoping for the same attitude in the future,” Cheema said.
It may be pointed out that on many occasions, Pakistan team had to face embarassment due to uncultured manners of the players. Following the events, PCB has been working on a strict disciplnary policy to avoid such situations.
He was hopeful for the good performance of the team World cup 2015.
“All players will enter into the ground with full power and would gift the nation ‘world cup’ after 23 years.
