MUMBAI – After Mahindra Singh Dhoni’s retirement from test format, much has changed in Indian cricket, with so many advice are being emerged everyday.
The suggestion is from former Pakistan coach Geoff Lawson.
Lawson believes ‘its time to set new direction for Indian cricket.’
“And Virat Kohli is ready for it as he proved in the Adelaide test. The good thing is that as a captain he wears silence who knows to respect umpires as well with team players and rival players.”
Lawson was of the view that Dhoni should wait for the last test of the series which could be a golden chance to end the test career with a victory.
“This would have also proved that he had the test level captaincy capacity and would have given a brilliant farewell to this format of cricket.”
Commenting on the present coach of Indian team, Geoff Lawson says BCCI should now look upon for anywhere else, where it could get new and fresh ideas to keep the team moving forward.
He viewed that Indian team didn’t play bad in recent visit as it could win one of the two initial test.
“But, in Australia, foreign teams get victories rarely as they are not familiar with hard wickets and bounce.”
