SSP Islamabad Suspended In Charge To Facilitate Criminals In Capital Territory.PakistanTribe.Com

ISLAMABAD – Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Islamabad suspended by Prime Minister in charge of facilitating the criminals especially at the time when country is in state of war, PakistanTribe reported.

Senior Superintendent Police (SSP)  Asmatullah Junejo and another officer suspended by Prime Minister for showing leniency to the activists of a religious group on charges of openly displaying weapons even after the imposition of 144.

Mufti Tanveer Alam Farooqi -The District President Rawalpindi Ehl e Sunnat Waljamat – was traveling on Kuri Road Islamabad with his wight companions four of them were his personal body guards and had weapons with them.

Islamabad Police stopped them at ‘Tramri Chowk’ check post and arrested them for having weapons with them. They were shifted to Shehzad Town and individual FIR registered against them under the imposition of 144 act.

Later SSP Islamabad released them due to possible threat of riot on arrest of Mufti Tanver Alam due to which SSP Islamabad and acting SHO of Shahzad Town Police Station Anees Akbar were suspended for not booking Mufti Tanveer Alam for displaying weapons in violation of section 144 imposed in the federal capital.

Instead of booking all of the arrested persons for violating section 144, the police authorities booked them under sections 13, 20 and 65 separately, showing leniency toward the activists of the religious outfit.

The prime minister suspended him as he already announced that his government was striving to ensure rule of law in the country and action would be taken against both the criminals as well as their facilitators.

However SSP said that he released Mufti Tanveer to avoid any violent act from Public.
