WASHINGTON DC – President Obama said he would spend the rest of his presidency protecting his domestic policy reforms and executive orders, PakistanTribe received international media reports.
US President Barack Obama said that he would love to protect his policies for the rest of his presidency and would veto pen only if needed to use against the threats from Congress.
He is interested in reforming the US policies internally and externally and he said he would defend the gains made on environment, clean air, clean water, immigration and in healthcare.
“I haven’t used the veto pen very often since I have been in office, partly because legislation that I objected to was typically blocked in the Senate even after Republicans took over the House,” Obama told.
Earlier on Christmas President Obama also announced US policy towards Afghanistan and said that US will quit its mission in Afghanistan in next week.
It is pertinent to mention that US had taken historical steps in the presidency of Obama regarding its foreign policy.
Two weeks ago US tied hand with Cuba after 50 years of hostility and established its embassy in Cuba for strengthening the bilateral relation. World leaders had appreciated a historic move by the US to end more than 50 years of hostility towards Cuba and restore diplomatic relations.
