ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced for 20% increase in the salaries of Motorway Police, PakistanTribe received reports.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that increase in the salaries of Motorway Police is the reward of their services for mother land. He said that Motorway Police is one of the best institutions of the Pakistan and Prime Minister is proud to have such a good institution in his country.

He was addressing the motorway officials on their yearly ceremony.

He appreciated the 16 years performance of Motorway and said that motorway had never disappointed him.

He also announced his plan for building the motorway from Lahore to Karachi. He added that construction of motorway was just an experiment which became successful with the efforts of motorway Police.

It is worth mentioning that motorway police recently announced that they will facilitate travellers on motorway even in harsh weather and heavy fog as people were facing difficulty due to closing of motorway.

Inspector General Motorway Police Zulfiqar Cheema had announced that Motorway will remain openĀ for traffic whatsoever the situation of weather there will be.

Inspector General of Motorway Police Zulfiqar Khosa said last week that motorway will be open for traffic and will never be closed due to fog or any reason.

Talking about heavy fog and increasing accidents he gave an action plan that vehicles will travel in a convoy led by motorway police. He further described that motorway police mobile vehicles will run with the convoy in case of heavy fog.
