FAISALABAD – Court has ordered to hang two prisoners of death sentence on 14th January as their executions were delayed due to Christmas, PakistanTribe learnt from media reports.
According to sources court has ordered police to hang two prisoners of death penalty on 14th January.
Terrorist Faiz Ahmad was involve in murder of soldier Tariq Mehmood. He martyred him in 2000. Whereas second terrorist Shareef was involve in terrorist activities. He was arrested in 2006.
Earlier they were supposed to hang on 25th December but their execution was postponed due to unavailability of the executioner for Christmas event as the executioner was christian by religion and he excused to hang on the event of Christmas.
The executioner name Sadiq Maseeh who is christian by religion denied to hang any one on Christmas as in his believe it was the day of forgiveness and peace.
Both prisoners have met last time with their family. Both belong to Nankana sahib, the city of central Punjab near Faisalabad.
Shreef was given death sentence on 15 June 2000 and Faiz on 13 April 2006 but due to appeals for forgiveness their hangings were delayed.
Jail sources said that every preparation in ready and they will be hanged on 15 of January 2015 as the court has given new dates for hanging.
