ISLAMABAD – Chief Of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif said that more than 2100 terrorists killed in Operation Zarb e Azb and Army will fight until the complete eradication of terrorism from Pakistan.
Chief of Army staff said that operation Zarb e Azb and Operation ‘Khyber One’ are giving required results. He said that both operations are proceeding successfully and Army leadership is satisfied on the operations.
He was briefing the parliamentary committee in Islamabad about war on terrorism.
He talking about meeting with General of International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) he told that the meeting with ISAF commander was fruitful and next strategy was discussed to combat terrorism from the region. He added that ISAF commander and Afghan forces ensured their complete support for Pakistan.
He said that more than 2100 terrorists were killed in operation Zarb e Azb and about 190 soldiers of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom.
Army Chief determinedly said that war against terrorism will continue until the complete eradication of terrorism from the state.
It is worth mentioning here that last week army chief visited Afghanistan and provided evidences to Afghan president and ISAF commander about the involvement of Mullah Fazalullah in school attack who is hiding in Afghanistan. In response Afghan President Ashraf Ghani ordered his forces and intelligence to arrest mullah Fazalullah.
