ISLAMABAD – Higher Education Commission (HEC) collected back 314 laptops awarded to the students who were doing jobs and had any direct source of income, PakistanTribe reported.
According to sources, HEC has collected laptops back from the students who were earlier awarded these laptops but they were doing jobs. HEC stated that the purpose to award laptops was to support those students who have no direct source of income but the students who are doing jobs are not eligible for having these laptops.
HEC had announced the last date of 15th December for submitting of laptops and all the students submitted within due date. It was also warned by HEC that the students who will not submit back laptops will be deprived from the registration of their degrees.
No case has been reported yet about cancellation of degree registration of any student as all the students have submitted back to save their future.
However students were very disappointed for this act and some of the students said that we have recently started job but when we were awarded laptops we were students only not a job holder.
Further also students said that it should not be issue whether we are doing jobs or studying only. We secured maximum marks in education and we deserve to be appreciated by awarding of laptops.
