ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that the reservations expressed by Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan regarding expenditure on Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) will be removed.
He said that the federal government will give Rs. 26 billion to KP government for combating terrorism. He told that federal government has spent 30 billion rupees on IDPs so far.
Earlier, PTI chairman urged Federal government to give financial aid to KPK saying that KPK goverment is bearing IDPs pressure.
According to an estimate, at least 15,000 to 20,000 people enter Pakistan illegally, PTI chairman added.
Khan expressed suspicion that where those people go and live in Pakistan.
He also urged the government to stop such illegal activities at the Torkham border and that as many as 5,000 people from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) must be recruited in the police.
KPK government is spending a particular amount of its budget on the IDPs, he added.
Moreover, he said that KPK Police has a need of intelligence support to limit illegal activities.
PTI chairman urged the government to send back the people residing illegally in the country adding that KPK FC was established for the protection of the province.
Furthermore, he said that they are accepting the elections but not the rigging and that they do not want to take political advantage or play blame-game.
