LAHORE – Lahore High court has suspended the death penalty of two criminals of whom death warrants were signed by Chief Of Army Staff, PakistanTribe learnt from media sources.
Lahore high court has suspended the death penalty of two of criminals named Kamran Aslam and Amir Yousuf who were supposed to hang in Kot Lakhpat Jail.
According to the lawyer of criminals it has not proved that in which charge they are given capital punishment. Even it was said that the criminals were not given the right to consult their legal adviser.
Justice Arshad Tabassum was hearing the case and he suspended their punishment due to lack of evidences.
These criminals were given death penalty punishment which was to be executed soon, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif had signed the death warrants of Kamran Aslam and Amir Yousuf.
Advocate Layeq Khan Sawat stated that even it is not proved that what was their crime and why they were given capital punishment.
