Intizar Hussain considered as nostalgic writer who strongly believe on values and tradition but he didn’t believe on this as he said “this is our obsession that we pose to ignore our past”.
Leading Pakistani news channel Geo, celebrated Intizar Hussain’s 90th birthday on Saturday. Its can be considered as ‘rare-case’ as it is not a tradition in subcontinent to recognize legends in their lives.
Intizar Hussain was born on December 7, 1923 in Dibai, Bulandshahr, India, and migrated to Pakistan in 1947.
He gained a master’s degree in Urdu and another in English literature. He writes short stories and novels in Urdu, and also columns for newspapers in English.
