ISLAMABAD – Police keeps security check on 17 religious schools in Islamabad as they may be a tool in terrorist activities, PakistanTribe received media reports.
Islamabad Police has started security checking on 17 religious schools (Madrassas) as they may involve in terrorist activities.
Police sources told that these madrassas are located in different sectors of Islamabad and it is expected that they may involve in terrorist activities against Pakistan military or civilians.
Police has collected the data of students, teachers and staff of the madrassa.
Police told that these madrassas may become hidout of terrorists as they are pro Taliban and other outlawed movements. Further it is also expected that students of these madrassas have links with TTP and other outlawed movements.
Police is preparing its summary report about the security threats by these madrassas and soon any decision will be taken by higher authorities.
It is expected that these madrassas or some of them will be sealed and people belonging to madrassas will be arrested but all this will depend on the sensitivity of the report.
It is pertinent to mention that almost all militant outlawed movements have their roots in madrassas and madrassas provide human resource to these movements which ultimately cause terrorism.
