KHAIRPUR – Election Tribunal has ordered the thumb verification of votes from NADRA on National Assembly constituency 215 Khairpur and PS 29 Khairpur. The tribunal has given order of thumb verification on the plea of former PML-N provincial president Syed Ghaus Ali Shah.
Syed Ghaus Ali Shah in his petition argued that the rigging was done on vast scale at both constituencies of Khairpur. It is worth mentioning here that Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah was elected from PS-29 and PPP candidate Nawab Ali Wasan was elected from NA-215.
The NADRA would submit report of thumb verification in election tribunal. Prior to this thumb verification on several constituencies of Karachi was done and most of the votes were declared as bogus due to the non-use of magnetic ink in 11 May polls. This is first such order in which the tribunal has ordered the thumb verification from NADRA on both seats of Sindh.
