ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that the government did not come to the talks table with the Pakistan Tehreek -e- Insaf (PTI) because of shutdowns.
Ahsan Iqbal said that it has been trying to hold talks with the party before it started its protests.
Iqbal also stated that there have been talks between the government and PTI in the past, but party chairman Imran Khan’s obstinacy had prevented talks from progressing.
While answering a question about judicial commission he said that we wrote the letter to Judicial commission on 13th August and there was no need of protest by Imran Khan after that, Imran is himself a hurdle for Judicial Commission.
