LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday selected as many as 16 points to stage protests in Lahore, PakistanTribe reported.
According to the details, PTI leadership has selected 16 locations in Lahore to stage the protest. PTI chairman Imran Khan will visit at least 6 of those points.
The selected locations include Thokar Niaz Baig, Shahdara, Babu Sabu, GT Road, Chungi Amar Sadhu, Mall Road, PMG Chowk, High Court Chowk, Mozang Chungi, Bekhewal Morr, Akbar Chowk, Liberty Market, Bhatta Chowk, Mughalpura, Shalamar, Jorray Pul, Bhati Chowk and Shah Alam Circular Road.
Imran Khan will also address the participants at 6 of the 16 locations.
Meanwhile, the PML-N has decided to set up a control room to monitor the Dec 15 strike call of the PTI in Lahore. Political, administrative, as well as police high command will monitor the provincial metropolis throughout the day and issue directions on the spot if any untoward situation develops during the protest. “We’re not taking the strike call casually,” a PML-N leader said, adding “for the extraordinary situation we’re also making extraordinary preparations.”
Besides already installed CCTV cameras, administrations of various towns have been directed to increase the number of devices to have a minute-by-minute report of different city areas for the control room.
