LARKANA – Five babies including four infant died in Larkana Children Hospital due to failure of Oxygen Supply, Pakistan Tribe learnt from media reports.
According to the sources, five children including four infant died due to unavailability of oxygen in the hospital. According to Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Saifullah due to shortage of funds bill was not paid to contractor and he suspended the supply of Oxygen.
It is pertinent to mention that two children allegedly died due to insufficient oxygen supply and doctors’ negligence in Sargodha Hospital with the total number of 22 babies died in Sargodha due to failure of oxygen supply.
Death rate of infant babies was already very high due to insufficient medical facilities but this negligence of government has broke record of past. Dying babies in Thar, in Srgodha and Larkana hospitals are the proof of criminal silence of government.
It is pertinent to mention that in the start of 2014 Pakistan was on 26 number in the list of countries with the highest infant moralities. It is expected that situation has become worst and figures have changed for Pakistani ranking in the list.
