SHARJAH – Pakistan is all set to take on New Zealand in the second of the five-match One-day International (ODI) series today (Friday) at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah.

Pakistan is leading the five match series 1-0 after they beat kiwis by three wicket in first One Dayer in Dubai.
Misbah ul Haq will lead the green shirts while Kane Williamson will be the captain of New Zealand.

Pakistan won 1st One day international (ODI) by scoring 247 runs on seven wickets. Haris Sohail and Shahid Afridi showed a superb performance and attracted the fan’s interests. Pakistani Captain Misbahul haq won the toss and decided to bat first.

The 25-year-old left-hander scored 85 off 109 balls and added 110 for the seventh wicket with veteran Shahid Afridi (who hit a 51-ball 61) to rescue Pakistan from a precarious 124-6 and turn it into a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

With just 13 needed at a run-a-ball, Afridi was run out but Sohail hit Jimmy Neesham for his fifth boundary to seal the win with three balls to spare.

Afridi hit seven boundaries and a six in his 37th one-day fifty.
