BHUBANESWAR – Pakistan Hockey team beat Netherlands by 4-2 in Knock out match and qualifies for semi final in Champions Trophy.

Pakistan stunned Pool B winners the Netherlands 4-2 (2-1) as their perfectly executed counter-punching saw them put memories of a poor group stage firmly in the past with an excellent Hero Hockey Champions Trophy quarter final win.

It was their first win over the Dutch in the Champions Trophy in 12 attempts, a run dating back to 1998.

Pakistan team placed at last in Pool A after losing three games in a row.

Muhammad Imran scored two goals while Umer Bhutta and Muhammad Irfan scored one goal each. Muhammad Imran was declared man of the match.
Pakistan has now qualified for the semifinals and is expected to either face Belgium or India in the semifinal match due on December 13.
