OSLO – Malala Yousufzai awarded by the Noble Peace Prize and she became the youngest ever Noble Peace Prize winner, PakistanTribe reported.
Daughter of Pakistan Malala Yousufzai awarded by Noble Peace Prize. Chairman Noble Prize committee presented the award to MalalaYousufzai and Indian Kailash Satyarthi.
Malala became the youngest ever Noble Prize winner. Malala shares the peace award with Kailash Satyarthi and both of them also shares the cash prize.
Legendary Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan performed ‘Allah hoo” in the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Thorbjørn Jagland said, “Satyarati and Yousafzai are precisely the people who should receive the Nobel Prize.”
“Malala Yousafzai is far and away the youngest peace prize Laureate of all time. Her story has nevertheless become known practically all over the world,” he said.
Malala’s friend Shazia and Kainat also present in the ceremony accompanied with the family of Malala.
Malal Yosufzai attacked by Taliban on 9 October 2012 when she was coming back from school.
