ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)’s leader Babar Awan has become the the first Pakistani politician to appear as a television host with his own prime time talkshow.
Babar Awan is soon starting his own talkshow on Dunya News television with the title Ikhtilafi Note – Objection Note in English.
The teaser of his programme has a tag line stating “Objection has a big price” and “It is compulsory to live in those times where living becomes difficult”.
Babar Awan is the Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He remained the Federal Law Minister in PPP government but over time developed the distances with his leadership. He had to resign from the ministry and in 2013 general election he was not even awarded the party ticket to contest polls.
It is also pertinent to mention here that the notorious Pakistani politician and Chief of his own version of Muslim League – Awami Muslim League – Sheikh Rashid had expressed desire more than once to host a talkshow at any television channel. However, his desire could not be fulfilled.
According to the details available with PakistanTribe‘s correspondent, another politician, Ayaz Amir, is about to start a talkshow from Channel 24. His show will go on-air from Lahore studio of the television.
