ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Interior has released the official statistics describing that within last five years Pakistan suffer the loss of as many as 9,639 lives in terrorists attacks.

The federal capital of Pakistan – Islamabad – suffered the most due to the menace of terrorism.

Ministry of Interior submitted a written reply in the National Assembly according which with in last five years provincial death toll remained as under:

Punjab

  • Casualties 974
  • Injured 3,061
  • Monetary Loss Rs 94 million

Sindh

  • Casualties 335
  • Injured 1,347
  • Monetary Loss Rs 346 million

Khyber Pakhutkhwa 

  • Casualties 3,236
  • Injured 8,721
  • Monetary Loss Rs 10.48 billion

Balochistan

  • Casualties 1,124
  • Injured 3,770
  • Monetary Loss Rs 540.1 million

Islamabad

  • Casualties 128
  • Injured 334
  • Monetary Loss Rs 23.83 billion

The monetary loss in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) remained Rs 450 million and Azad Kashmir Rs 323.1 million.
