KARACHI – The leader of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) Wasim Akhtar has lambasted Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government in Sindh for not following the merit at all.
MQM leader held a press conference on Wednesday to inform media that PPP government’s only accepting bribes for the appointment on government posts.
“Chief Executive of Sindh (Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah) always gives statement to up hold merit but ground reality is entirely opposite. Not a single appointment is being made on merit during past few months,” Wasim said while waving few documents in front of media persons.
He said “Secretary Education of Sindh had himself confessed corruption under his watch. There was a million rupee scam in education department. I have documents of two young men from Hyderabad. They have cleared all prerequisites of appointment but as they belong to urban Sindh so government did not issue appointment letter.” He also added that situation in police department was not any different.
“PPP government has went so far in enmity with MQM and people,” he maintained.
Wasim Akhtar also stated that thieves and robbers were being recruited in Sindh Police.
“We have raised voice in Sindh Assembly, National Assembly, Senate and also wrote a letter to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. What else we must do now to get rid of this murder of merit?” he asked in the end.
