LAHORE – Pakistan Paceman Umar Gul has said that Pakistan is desperate to beat India in the upcoming mega event of Inertnational Cricket Council (ICC).
Umar Gul said his team is desperate to break the sequence of losing from india in ICC events when the two sides come face to face in Worl cup 2015.
He said every match will be important, the game against India, as always, will be special for both the sides. “No rivalry can match the India-Pakistan rivalry and I think the match will be something billions of people all over the world will be waiting for,” he added.
Umar gul said that every win boost the confidence of team but win over India always special for team and for people of Pakistan as well.
Umar going to make a comeback against an under-strength New Zealand in the two Twenty20 internationals starting in Dubai on Thursday.
His inclusion will help Pakistan overcome the absence of ace off-spinner Saeed Ajmal who is suspended from international cricket after his bowling action was found illegal in September this year.
The 23-year-old returns from a knee problem which kept him away from international cricket since the fifth edition of the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh in April this year.
Umar Gul has played 124 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 47 Test matches for Pakistan and took 173 wickets in ODIs and 163 in test matches.
Gul is the second highest wicket-taker in the shortest format of the game with 80 in 56 games, five behind Ajmal`s 85.
