ISLAMABAD – Amid calls of protests in December by Imran Khan, the chief of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam-Faz (JUI-F) leader Fazlur Rehman has announced his own version of rallies in Sindh and Islamabad.
Speaking to a press conference on Monday, Fazl stated that on December 4 his party workers will hold the biggest demonstration in Islamabad.
“It will be the biggest demonstration in the history of Pakistan. We will bring millions in capital,” he said.
Abdul Ghafoor Haidri, the General Secretary of JUI-F, was also sitting beside Fazl during the announcement. They once again mourned the sad demise of their colleague Khalid Somro in Sukkur. He was murdered inside the mosque by four armed men.
Chances of Clash between JUI-F and PTI
JUI-F went on protest and wheel jam strike on Sunday marking grief against the murder of their leader. JUI-F workers blocked the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway (M-1) on Sunday for which PTI workers coming in November 30 rally had to either change the plan or route.
However, now JUI-F gave the call of big rally in Islamabad. Interestingly, the sit-in of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at D-Chowk in Islamabad still continued. Imran Khan’s container is still placed at D-Chowk. This situation increases the chances of clash between the workers of two parties if come face-to-face with each other.
Not to forget that leaders from both parties have put serious allegations on each other. Fazl publicly raise questions on the character of women participating in the PTI’s sit-in. Whereas, Imran Khan had called Fazl Maulana Diesel.
