MANSEHRA – The Prime Minister of Nawaz Sharif woos to completion his pre-election promises of construction of Hazara Motorway stating ‘Rs 33 billion or Rs 133 billion we will shower any amount of money for development of this area’.
Nawaz Sharif had laid the foundations of Hazara Motorway on Saturday and said “People engaged in sit-in should look at this. Come and have a look at Naya Pakhtunkhwa, a brighter Pakhtunkhwa. Where is the glimpse of your new Pakistan? It is no where.”
He also promised to construct a modern university in Havelian. He also announced to bring natural gas in the area after meeting the load management crisis within few months.
“Now I fear if they (PTI) start dharna against the development of this area,” he added.
Criticizing the politics of Imran Khan, Pakistani premier also said “They should rethink about their politics from ethical point of view. Parents of children going in dharna must consider for a while that what they are getting from it. What the kids learning from these agitations?”
“I have won the constituency with over 100,000 votes. They (PTI) received only 45,000 votes. Was it a rigging? PML-N won 150 seats of National Assembly and they secured only 25. How could be the margin of rigging so enlarge. You are teaching immoralities to youth,” Nawaz saif further.
Governor Khyber Pakhutnkhwa (KP) said on this occasion that “This motorway would be a gateway of development in Hazara region.” Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousuf Khan termed the occasion as a happy day for people in Hazara region.
Pir Karram Ali Shah Governor Gilgit Baltistan and Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Mehdi Shah were also present on this occasion.
Hazara Motorway Details
The Hazara Motorway will be 60-kilometre-long having four lanes fenced expressway, The preliminary estimated cost of the project is Rs 33 billion.
The project anticipates hundreds of thousands of employment opportunities, possibilities of new business ideas, and a socio-economic uplift of the whole region and Pakistan.
According to a source in Motorway Police initially Hazara Motorway will start from Burhan Interchange of Islamabad-Peshawar (M1) Motorway. It will terminate at Havelian city of Haripur District. Then it will go toward Mansehra passing near to Abbottabad.
