KU to Hold Global Workshop on Modern Spectroscopic Techniques | PakistanTribe.comKARACHI- “The NASIC Workshop on Modern Spectroscopic Techniques and Their Applications in Structure Determination” will be held at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi (UoK), on December 1-3, 2014.

 

About 40 international eminent scientists from 18 countries are expected to participate in this workshop.”

These views were expressed by Director ICCBS Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, while speaking at an official meeting held at ICCBS on Friday. He said this workshop aims to bring together a multidisciplinary community of scientists working on various aspects of spectroscopic techniques from all NASIC member countries to enable stimulating discussion and exchange of information.

He said, “The inaugural ceremony of the global scientific event will be held on Monday (December 01) at 09:00 am at Prof. Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Auditorium (ICCBS). Vice Chancellor University of Karachi Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser will inaugurate the workshop, President Pakistan Academy of Sciences/ Network of Academies of Sciences in Islamic Countries (NASIC) Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman, Director ICCBS Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, Secretary General NASIC Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Khan and Dr. Huma Aslam Bhatti of ICCBS will also express their views on the occasion.”

He also expressed hope that students from these regions will gain immensely from participating in this meeting and interacting with international experts.
