LAHORE – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has thrown the ball in Parliament’s court to bring anti-dharna resolution stating ‘we cannot do much in this regard’, PakistanTribe reported.
Justice Khalid Mehmood was hearing a petition on Friday where he literary hands up to give any verdict against on-going sit-in or November 30 rally of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Justice Khalid said “If government is ready to give permission for the rally then what can we do about it? Government is not even accepting the resignations of PTI lawmakers. Imran Khan is leading the opposition but he is not the Opposition Leader. That designation belongs to Khurshid Shah and he is not opposing the government.”
The court also noted that Imran Khan has changed his aggressive stance. Moreover, the court termed the permission of November 30 rally a purely administrative measure.
Later, Justice Khalid adjourn the hearing till December 2 stating “Federal Government of Pakistan has given guarantee to maintain law and order on November 30.”
