ISLAMABAD – The national flag carrier has increased the reporting and check-in time for its customers citing ‘security reasons’ making it 90 minutes for domestic and three hours for international flights’ passengers.
According to the details available with PakistanTribe‘s correspondent, the passengers who chose to fly with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will have to reach at the airports much earlier than before.
All domestic passengers will have to report at the airport to get boarding passes at least 90 minutes before their actual flight time. International flights’ passengers will need to reach three hours before the flight time.
Moreover, it PIA also announced to close the counters for domestic customers maximum before 30 minutes to their flight. International counters will be shut an hour before the flights. Not to forget that boarding gates for both domestic and international passengers will be closed 15 minutes before the take off.
PIA is the state-own-state-run airlines of Pakistan. Marred with corruption and mismanagement, PIA has been in deep crisis for over two decades now.
