ISLAMABAD – Senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Raza Rabbani has bashed the Federal Government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for planning to kick out as many as 4,000 workers from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Raza Rabbani was speaking on Wednesday when he refutes the possibility of privatization of national flag carrier.
“PPP will stand against the PIA’s privatization by PML-N. We will not let government divide PIA in two parts,” Raza Rabani said while discrediting federal government’s plan. “They are planning to downsize as many as 4000 workers from PIA just to get some money to pay debts.”
Raza Rabbani also maintained that government should pay all the debts by itself. “Privatization of national institutes is not a favorable option,” he added.
PML-N government is planning to privatize the national flag carrier by selling its 30 per cent shares in first phase.
