PESHAWAR – US Forces continued drone strikes in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) amid Pakistan Army’s military offence Zarb-e-Azb against outlawed militants.
In its latest strike in NWA, US drone killed at least four suspected militants. However, there was a conflict in reports on casualties. At least one leading English daily of Pakistan claimed that its source reported eight casualties due to US drone strike.
Official sources said a compound used by suspected militants inside a house in Data Khel area of NWA was targeted with two missiles early morning on Wednesday. Four occupants were killed on the spot while several others were injured.
The identity of those killed could not be determined immediately, however, few of them are believed to be foreign militants.
