KARACHI – In a shocking move the 26 minor girls having Pashtun ethnicity and roots from Bajaur Agency are recovered from Pakistan’s biggest metropolitan city, PakistanTribe reported.
According to the details available with PaistanTribe‘s correspondent the Super Market police on a tip off from people residing in the area, conducted raid at a house in Liaquatabad and recovered 26 minor girls. All the girls, aged between 8 and 10, were brought to Karachi from Bajaur Agency.
According to the police officer the girls cannot even speak Urdu. Police have also taken two women into custody from the house for interrogation.
Police investigation revealed later that a female teacher of one religious seminary was looking after these girls. She had to pay some debt of a man – one Ayub. In order to adjust her loan the female teacher dropped 26 girls at the man’s house. She also asked police to send these girls back to any seminary in stead of Darul Amaan. She accepted that some of these girls were her own relatives.
It is also pertinent to mention that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rauf Siddiqui immediately reached the site and offered breakfast to all the girls.
