ISLAMABAD – The Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif will address through state television to take the nation confidence over Imran Khan’s anti-government rallies, PakistanTribe learnt from sources.
The expected address will be broadcast between 8 to 9 pm on Monday.
Nawaz Sharif is expected to take people in confidence ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairmran Imran Khan’s bog show in Islamabad on November 30.
He will also inform people about relief and development projects government has initiated during past few months, source added. His speech will also cover the progress he made during recent foreign visits of China, Germany and UK.
According to the source, Nawaz Sharif is discussing the content of his speech with his younger brother and Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and federal cabinet.
It is also pertinent to mention here that Nawaz Sharif has met Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI) Lt General Rizwan Akhtar for the second time in less than 10 days on Monday. Also, his address to nation will be coming after an important decision of Special Court in which former President General (rtd.) Pervez Musharraf was given a huge relief.
Later at 4:30 pm, Monday November 24, 2014, Spokesperson of Prime Minister House denied that Nawaz Sharif is not addressing to the nation today. However, when asked whether there was any such plan which was postponed, spokesperson refused to respond.
