SRINAGAR – The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to bring back India’s film industry otherwise known as Bollywood in Indian Occupied Kashmir, PakistanTribe learnt from Indian media reports.
Modi was addressing at Bharti Janta Party (BJP) on Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Indian premier – who enjoyed the support of many Bollywood stars during his election campaign including Amitab Bachan – said “I have to bring back Bollywood to Kashmir.”
Noting that the fastest growing industry in the world today is tourism industry, he said “I have to bring back tourism to the state and I have to make Jammu and Kashmir the ultimate tourist destination in the world.”
Not to forget that a number of movies have been shot in Kashmir, including ‘Kashmir Ki Kali’, ‘Mission Kashmir’ and more recently ‘Haider’.
The five-phase assembly elections in Indian Occupied Kashmir begin from November 25. Modi is addressing the rallies in order to get a shot at previously stronghold of Indian National Congress – opposition party in India. However, the All Parties Huriyat Conference (APHC) and other Kashmiri leaders attached with independence movement had announced to boycott the puppet elections unless India holds plebiscite in the occupied valley.
