ISLAMABAD – The Government of Pakistan has formally launched a protest with the India as their unprovoked firing at Line of Control (LoC) martyred at least one Pakistan Army soldier.
According to an official communique issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Friday evening the protest was launched through diplomatic channels.

The communique stated “Pakistan lodged protest with the Government of India through diplomatic channels over the unprovoked firing and mortar shelling by the India forces in Pandu Sector across the Line of Control, yesterday, in which a soldier of Pakistan Army, Sepoy Zahid Ali, embraced shahadat due to multiple mortar splinter injuries.”

The Government of Pakistan offers its condolences to the bereaved family of the Shaheed. Condemning the incident, Pakistan called upon India to restrain its security forces from unprovoked firing and shelling across the LoC and the Working Boundary.
